Citizenship and
Immigration Canada (CIC)
BLC is currently the holder of a standing offer
at Citizenship and Immigration Canada for the provision of ten
categories of Informatics Professional Services in the amount of more
than five millions dollars.
One of our past projects at CIC included the following:
Project name: C16
Development Project
The project team provided by BLC consisting of a
project leader, senior systems analyst, programmer analyst, and a
database administrator. The environments consisted of Windows 95, NT
workstations, and UNIX servers. The front end was coded in Visual Basic
5.0. The back end and Database were coded in ObjectStar 3.1. The BLC
team performed the following tasks:

prepared and maintained
project plans, reporting progress to the Project Authority, |

prepared user requirements through
utilization of JAD sessions, |
 |
responsible for the systems analysis,
design, and development, |
 |
managed and directed the project team
on a day to day basis within the budgetary and planning parameters |

prepared design specifications, test
cases, |
 |
developed test cases, |
 |
conducted the test runs and cycles, |
 |
recorded testing results and procured
client signoff, |
 |
corrected minor problems and
documented trouble reports, |
 |
maintaining the integrity of the
database systems, |
 |
co-ordinates and performs the installation,
upgrade, and maintenance of databases,providing internal support and
general assistance to ensure the effective and efficient
use of the databases.

We continue to meet the 48 hour timeframe when a
new requirement is sent to us by CIC. Presently, we have
several consultants working at Citizenship and Immigration Canada
and hopefully, many more in the upcoming years.
