Project name: SAP Help Desk
Support Development Project
BLC consultants who worked with system analysts
from the CIDA Financial Division, provided consulting services
to ensure that all SAP FI/CO and RGI Interface production financial
management problems were addressed and remedied. In support of the
Operations and Maintenance function and the Phoenix SAP project team, BLC
SAP specialists delivered information and training sessions as required
by the Canadian International Development Agency. BLC
SAP specialists were also actively involved in all other
project-related activities as need arose. BLC supplied two Application
Support Specialists.
Some of the duties performed by these consultants
were:

FI_FM Module Specialist, |

liaison between users and representatives from
Finance Division, |
 |
analyzing and offering resolutions to complex
problems, |
 |
coaching users by doing one on one training,
walking them through scripts, or explaining steps in resolving
problems, |
 |
offering advice and showing alternatives in order
to facilitate users' workload, |
 |
giving demonstrations to group of users (6-20) on
some of the functions available in SAP to enable them to make better
business decisions, |
 |
resolving problems related to the MM and PS
modules and coaching users in these same modules, |
 |
performing testing in QA to ensure that new
scripts/procedures about to be released in production were accurate. |
BLC joined alliances with EDS Canada and
continues to provide excellent SAP Help Desk Support at CIDA.
